West View Water Authority contacts PaWARN:
We’re dealing with a critical situation at our Baden WTP. We’ve had a 42" C900 tee break. We need the following as soon as possible:
- One 36" stick of C900 or ductile
- A 42" × 36" C900 reducer
- A 36" dresser coupling for the C900
If the correct fittings aren’t available, we can use a 42" end cap. The end cap would at least allow us to get the plant back online while we regroup on the remaining repairs.
The Baden Water Treatment Plant draws water from the Ohio River and supplies numerous communities in the greater Pittsburgh Area.
PaWARN immediately contacts its member utilities via its emergency email distribution list.
